Our Online Learning Philosophy
We founded Ace Academics at a time when the world was transitioning to online learning. Our fully virtual format helps students learn to effectively use virtual methods of communication.
High school can be a busy time for students, but our virtual format makes scheduling sessions simple and convenient. Many of our students are athletes or have part-time jobs, but our unique, individually-tailored scheduling system allows students to find a balance between their studies and other activities. Our tutors are well-adjusted to working online and are ready to help students succeed, not only on exams but also in a world that increasingly demands technological literacy.
Meet Our Owner & Founder
Emma Carter, Owner and Operating Manager
Emma founded Ace Academics Tutoring in 2021 after scoring in the 99th percentile on the ACT. She then earned her B.A. in Political Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
She has a decade of tutoring and mentoring experience—from teaching Sunday school, to mentoring incarcerated youth at her local juvenile hall, to preparing ESL immigrants for successful job interviews.
Emma strives to help her students become more critical thinkers, effective learners, and overall better versions of themselves. She encourages students to have a radical growth mindset and aim high, while also taking care of themselves holistically.
