Hello! I'm Emma, Owner and Operating Manager of Ace Academics Tutoring.

 

After scoring in the 99th percentile on the ACT, I founded Ace Academics Tutoring in January of 2021.​​

Originally from Arkansas, I earned my B.A. in Political Science and Ethnic Studies from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2024. 

I have a decade of tutoring experience. I seize every opportunity to teach and mentor—from teaching Sunday school, to mentoring incarcerated youth at my local juvenile hall, to preparing ESL immigrants for successful job interviews, to helping over 150 high school students prepare for standardized exams.

My goal is to help my students become more critical thinkers, effective learners, and overall better versions of themselves. I aim to help students believe in themselves and gain confidence. I encourage students to have a radical growth mindset and aim high, while also taking care of themselves holistically.

Outside of my work as a coach/teacher/mentor/volunteer, I am an avid bird-watcher and wildlife photographer, novice freediver and surfer, and full-time traveler. I am working to become bilingual, and I am passionate about continuing to learn outside of the classroom every day!
